In Ictu Oculi (In the Twinkling of an Eye), Juan de Valdés LealThe rich fool… A foreboding parable and warning to all who might heed. Gird your loins and light your lamps was today’s reading. Indeed, I believe I have and I’ve made it to the other side.

It was a good day. Chances are that we are heading to court in January and I am looking forward to it. In fact, I think it will be therapeutic. I have a few things I would like to get into the official inscription ending the darkest chapter of my life.

Amongst my sons, their wives and I, we have a little skit that we recite spinning off the commercial, “The most interesting man in the world.” We laugh until our sides hurt and all toast to the here and now… And mostly to lessons learned.

Certainly we are all entitled to our own reality. The problem is that the farther that reality is from truth, the more tightly knit your circle must be and selective your audience in order to perpetuate your distorted values. While neither consensus, law nor popular culture constitutes truth, those principals that require secrecy cannot be of God. By His nature He is illumination in the fullest measure, and full disclosure on all things.
