It’s true. And it’s sad. There are quite a few people who are along for the ride as long as you have something they need. Financial support. Free advertising. Credibility they can’t get on their own.
And then you need help. Or you simply no longer serve a purpose other than the latest gossip to their group of other small-minded friends. And poof. They’re gone like the dusty dry bones that they truly are.
If you tough it out, you’ll eventually sift through these self-involved imposters and be left with some amazing friends on whom you can always count… and there is no greater feeling.
